Blogger and photographer Angel David Verde founded Angel's Point of View in 2010, as an outlet for his street style photography.
As The South's premier street style photographer and blogger, Angel combines his unique point of view, garnered through years of world travel and life experience. In addition to curating Angel’s Point of View, Angel shoots street style for The Roanoke Times, and has also had work featured on The Huffington Post, and luckymag.com. In 2013, Angel was the official street style photographer for Charleston Fashion Week.
In 2012, he produced and hosted a web based travel series featuring Roanoke, Richmond, Charlotte, Charleston SC and Washington DC, called the Street Style Tour, which aired online via YouTube and his blog. The second season is scheduled for filming in late 2013.
In three short years, Angel has established himself as the leader in Southern street style throughout Virginia and the Carolinas. He is slowly becoming a respected figure as a blogger and photographer in the Southern Fashion industry and beyond.
Born in Central America, Angel immigrated to the U.S. with his mother and sister as a child. His first job was as a shop assistant for a master shoe cobbler. He gained broadcasting experience as a radio show host and production assistant in Virginia before enlisting in the United States Air Force, he deployed three times to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
When not shooting, you can find Angel involved in an assortment of activities. He is a accomplished ballroom dancer, has been a professional DJ for over 10 years, is an avid cyclist, founding the Annual Roanoke Tweed Run bike ride in 2011.
