Style Street - The Roanoke Times

So a few months ago I was contacted by The Roanoke Times, getting a message from the editor of the largest news paper in the region that is also ranked in the top 100 News papers in the country (according to Wikipedia), I wasn't sure what to think at first. Before I called them up I honestly couldn't figure out what in the world they wanted from me, some of my ideas were a bit out there which I won't make public, though my only hope was that they wanted to do a article on my street fashion photography for the paper. After a phone call, a meeting with the boss and the features editor, some e-mailing, some training, more e-mailing, and more training, Style Street was born. Style Street is an extension of Angel's Point of View exclusively featuring photos from Southwest Virgina. Along with the blog format at Roanoke.com my photos will come out once a month in the features second in The Roanoke Times printed paper. I'm very excited to be working with the folks at The Roanoke Times and hope you get a chance to visit the Style Street site at blogs.roanoke.com/stylestreet.

So since most of my trips out of town are very short and time is limited, I personally like to stay in "high traffic" areas. You'll notice most of my photos are on King Street,  so I'll start making up titles so people don't get bored of seeing Downtown... King Street. Charleston for the next 3 weeks, have a good weekend!

Charleston Preview!!

I hope you make it a point to visit each week (if not daily) all of July where I'll be posting photos from my summer visit to Charleston. The photo above is one of my "After Dark" photos from on the market, with the sidewalk traffic blocking most of the shoot, I felt this would be a great preview for whats to come.
