On Campus... Still Some Summer Left, Virginia Tech

Its been unseasonably hot this past week, and this young student is taking advantage. Did you notice the men sized wrist watch? Very cool.

Travel plans this fall/winter

So I am getting very excited about the next few months. I have trips planned to Charlotte, Columbia SC, Lexington, and Roanoke in the next two weeks. I also have possible trips to Richmond and Washington DC sometime before Christmas. Of course I have the big trip of the winter to NYC in January.

I know that to help put my blog on the higher echelon of the fashion blogs, I have to try to put myself at the level of the professionals, and with that I must visit other cities to not only promote my work, but to expose you the viewer, to a broad range of style from outside of the New River Valley. I am lastly looking forward to next year when I plan to attend the Fashion Show at Virginia Tech, Richmond Fashion Week, DC Fashion Week, and hopefully a few other fashion shows in this area.

So the question is, where would you like me to visit, or what events should I attend? Just remember to keep it within the East Coast. Feel free to post you comments.

I would like to note that those actually were his glasses not hers, but she put them while I was taking their photos. hehe..  You know its also funny that I tell most people I meet that they can look at the camera and even smile, but for some reason they just... don't.. oh well, they come out great either way.

So last Friday, I went out to the Friday Night Jamboree in Floyd, VA with a few new friends. Lets just say it was the coolest 3 blocks of a town I've been to in a while. I'll be posting something from my mini adventure The rest of the week.

I took this photo a few days ago, and since then I have been requested a redo by these two lovely ladies.. LOL. So I did some "research." I have come to find that theses gals, A- have a nicer camera than I do (which isn't that hard to do really), and B- spend quit a bit of time behind and in front of the lens. I think I'll take them up on their request.. More to come..

Three Short Term goals of Angel's POV

So here are my Three short term goals... umm.. ok, four goals.

1- get out! I need to venture to where people live, not just Downtown Blacksburg.

2-Find my place as a photographer again. I've noticed everyone carries a camera around here, so I need to step it up.

3- I want to try out a sort of Impromptu photo shoot, of like cool people, one, two, and so on. With great style of course. (e-mail if interested, seriously!, e-mail me.)

4 - Stop taking pictures outside the Darn mall... I mean, I find a lot of really cool people hanging outside of the mall by the school, but its not really not a good backdrop for pictures.

So does any of my non-existent followers have any other suggestions?  :)

I went out for a walk and thought it was a dead end kind of day for photos until this young Dapper Dan. Meet Vince, my new best friend, he knew exactly what I was up to asking strangers to pose. Thanks Vince!

It was a great second week, for those who will start following, new posts are every Tuesday and Thursday, and extra posts will be posted Wednesdays or Fridays. I hope to start having enough to do M-W-F. Anyhoo, The boys really represented this week, but I'm looking forward to having the ladies back.. Have a good Friday and weekend. See you all next week.

This Young Lady was walking her bike with a friend on campus when I was cutting through on the way to the post office. You'll find I have a thing for bicycles, so this was a win win for my first real post.

A New Start

I'm going to make this short, I'm finally settled in my new house and I've hit the street. Taking my camera out each time I leave the house has been the biggest battle and I've been kicking myself many times when I should have been taking photos with a camera I didn't have.

Until I start getting more "participants" the goal is about two photos a week for my future followers to enjoy and be inspired by. Don't forget, if you made it on Angel's POV then start bragging. The more people who know, you may just inspire someone, and they will start to follow as well.
